Altius Insurance Limited, ex Alpha Insurance Ltd was founded in Cyprus on May 6, 1993.

On January 16, 2015, Alpha Insurance was fully acquired by a group of investors led by Mr. Doukas Paleologos, with a strong participation of the Management of the company, and it was renamed to ALTIUS INSURANCE.

The Company operates in the insurance sector covering all the related services: life insurance, non-life (general) insurance and health insurance.

In the life insurance sector, the Company offers high quality, integrated products that adequately cover mostly all individual and family needs. The life insurance products include unit-linked products suitable for life and medical cover, pension and study support as well as accidental benefits, work disability and critical illness insurance covers.

In the non-life (general) insurance sector, the Company offers its customers a wide range of benefits that are adapted to each particular case. Insurance programs for fire, theft, home, office and shop insurance covers, public, employers and professional liability, travel accident and cargo insurance, computers insurance, motor and yacht insurance.

In the health insurance sector, mainly medical insurance products are offered as well as innovative dental individual cover, the only individual cover currently in the market.

The Company has presence in all the cities of Cyprus with 9 branches having an extended network through several agents and insurance consultants. In addition the Company offers its products through Alpha Bank’s branch network in Cyprus based on the Bancassurance agreement that has in place with Alpha Bank

Furthermore, Altius Insurance retains long-lasting collaboration with several reinsurers, which are globally active companies (Swiss Re, Scor Re, Mapfre Re, Hannover Re, Munich Re etc.)
